Hillary Urban, PsyD, PMH-C

Owner and Psychotherapist

Hello! I’m a clinical psychologist and view therapy as a journey we take together. You know yourself better than anyone. My role is to support you in uncovering patterns, learning new coping skills, and finding more helpful ways to navigate life’s challenges. I emphasize teaching you practical tools, especially from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), so you have something solid to work on between our sessions. But above all, I’m here to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and valued. My hope is that you leave therapy feeling stronger and more capable of handling whatever comes your way.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Michigan State University and then completed my Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My training has been quite broad, including both inpatient and outpatient settings with people of all ages. I’ve spent years honing my skills in therapies that are proven to help and conducting psychological assessments to tailor treatment plans. I completed my predoctoral internship at Utah State Hospital and postdoctoral training at Compass Health Center, where I worked in inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.

In my most recent work, I’ve focused on helping clients who might not be in a crisis but are still facing challenges like anxiety, depression, and trauma, among others. I’ve also obtained my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), which has allowed me to deepen my expertise and passion for supporting those dealing with infertility, pregnancy loss, and postpartum challenges. Helping clients navigate these deeply personal experiences has become a significant part of my practice, and I’m committed to providing the care and support needed during these difficult times.
